AEW President Tony Khan reacts to WWE’s interest in the MJF; Kevin Owens re-signing with WWE

Between Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling and Vince McMahon’s WWE, there is plenty of room for top talent in the fight for top talent like MJF and Kevin Owens.

Report by Andrew Zarian Mat Men Radio stated that WWE and its television partners, FOX and USA Network, were keen to sign Maxwell Jacob Friedman. The famous heel fueled the fire proposing a war of supply When his AEW contract expires in 2024.

Khan welcomes AEW’s interest in competing for domestic talent, and told CBS Sports that other companies should be interested in someone of MJF’s caliber.

“I think that’s very good. I encourage that. I think they should keep talking about him because he’s a fighter who is a big part of the AEW and he’s signed here for a few years,” Khan said. “So I think please keep up the good work, because they’ve got great ratings for their segments and they’re also involved in CM Punk quite regularly as they continue to interact. They’ve had a war of words and now it’s going to turn up. the opposite of this [and] Darby Allin with CM Punk against MJF and FTR. I think it’s great. You know [WWE] I had a few fighters I wanted to sign there and I signed him up, Bryan Danielson and Adam [Cole] and Ruby Soho. ”

Khan, who serves as AEW’s founder, president, and reservist, among other titles, has won a number of former WWE superstars this year. One name that the AEW leader had in mind was former WWE Universal champion Owens.

“I was interested in that. He’s a great fighter,” Khan said. “I think he probably ended up signing a lot of money with what I think. I think that’s very good and good. We have a lot of people focus here and it’s great. Any company that goes to it will be great. A fighter for them.”

Looking at the independent scene, it is clear that the fans of the former talented Danhausen Ring of Honor are hungry.

“Jericho was in Cruise interacting with a lot of AEW fighters and that was great,” Khan said. “He’s had an injury lately, so it’s something to look forward to. But he has a lot of followers and he sells some sales and he’s a very sympathetic guy. So he’s got a lot of things on his side.”
