AFCON 2021: Ghana’s Tetteh is banned for three matches after a post-match blow

Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh has been sentenced to three matches in a post-match incident for punching his opponent at Christmas. testy 1-1 draw on Friday in the African Cup Final.

Tetteh knocked down Aaron Boupendza for Christmas as players and officials exchanged blows after the match, in a bad uproar.

The African Football Confederation on Saturday sentenced the 24-year-old, who has only been on the pitch as a substitute for the last three minutes, to an additional one-match penalty for violent behavior, in addition to a two-match automatic penalty.
