Ash Test 3: Boland makes his test debut; England is making four changes

Australia’s fastball player Scott Boland will make his test debut in the Ashes match on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in England with four changes.

Boland was brought in as a cover earlier this week and received an initial gesture when Jhye Richardson and Michael Neser were quick to dismiss the back pain due to muscle aches.

Because Josh Hazlewood is still recovering from a side tension that was already out, that captain Pat Cummins and Boland are in the Australian XI.

“Jhye and Nes were a little hurt after Adelaide, so we decided to go with Scotty,” Cummins said after a close relationship with a COVID-19 case that lost the Adelaide test.

“It’s a luxury to be someone like him, fresh and ready.”

Boland will become the Indigenous player in Australia’s second round of testing after bowler Jason Gillespie.

Australia, who lead the series in a five-game series 2-0, can finish the series and get the Ashes with a MCG victory.

England, meanwhile, dropped starter Rory Burns and pitcher Stuart Broad, along with Ollie Pope and Chris Woakes.

Mark Wood and Jack Leach will return to the starting lineup, and Zak Crawley and Jonathan Bairstow will play the first tests of this series.

England also confirmed that Jos Buttler will continue as wicketkeeper instead of Bairstow taking on gloves.

Buttler was confident at a media conference on Christmas morning on Saturday.

“We’re definitely not here to get involved and get 70,000 people to enjoy another victory in Australia,” Buttler said.

“We have to face it, we want to win the series and we want to win this test match. I’m sure there will be a hostile environment here but that’s something to embrace and enjoy, everyone is excited to be here. That’s why you play in big games. “
