Australia held on to Women’s Ashes on Thursday after winning England’s first One-Day International in a multi-format series.
England needed victories in all three ODIs to beat Ashes, but lost 27 races in the Canberra after being knocked out by 178 for Canhes, who needed 206 to win.

Australia took an 8-4 point lead in the series and can’t be beat, with the remaining two ODIs each winning two points for the winner. The Australians have had the Ashes since the winter of 2013-14.
Australia won the only match to be completed out of the three scheduled T20Is. The Sudden Test was drawn.
England can tie the series in the remaining ODIs with two wins.
Australia also won the Men’s Ashes last month.
