Welsh captain Gareth Bale has recovered from injury and is ready to win his 100th cap after coach Robert Page has been called up for this month’s World Cup qualifier against Belarus and Belgium.
Bale, 32, was torn apart in September and missed the last two qualifiers in Wales. He has also been out of his Real Madrid squad.
“He’s in a good place. He’s where he and the medical team thought he should be and he was where he thought he was. I spoke to him personally last week and he’s enthusiastic,” Page told Sky Sports.

“He’s doing his best to get 100% fit. He’s back on the grass. He’s not in full-time training yet but we still have another week. He’s where we want to be and it’s great news.”
Page added that it was unlikely that the striker would play for Real before joining the national team.
“I’m not sure that’s going to be feasible … if he doesn’t join the team next weekend from where he is now, but I see him – no, probably,” the director said.

Left-back Ben Davies and full-back Rhys Norrington-Davies also returned to the 28-man Wales squad after losing last month’s camp due to illness and injury, respectively.
Wales are third in Group E with 11 points in the Czech Republic, but have a game in hand. On 13 November, Belarus take on the bottom team, followed by Belgium, who have 16 points and have played six games like Wales, three days later.
