Bangladesh have summoned Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Rejaur Rahman Raja without a pair for the first cricket match against Pakistan in Chittagong, which starts on Friday.

Shakib Al Hasan is very nice in the team, but he needs to assess his physical condition.

“Of course, we will have to wait to see if Shakib makes the first Test, but the players on the team have been the most consistent players for us and their presence can make a difference,” head coach Minhajul Abedin said on Monday.

Experienced batsman Tamim Iqbal has been sidelined due to injury.

According to Abedin, the newcomers joined the team based on their performances in the long game.

Batsman Mahmudul, 21, has started his first-team career with two hundred in the National Cricket League, and midfielder Raja, 22, picked up 33 wickets in 10 first-round games.

“It’s still early for him, but Mahmudul has shown good temperament for the longer version,” Abedin said.

“He’s also a drummer. With Taskin (Ahmed) and Shoriful (Islam) injuries, we had to keep our pace open to bowling opportunities and Raja got the affirmative. We have monitored his performance in first-class competitions. He is strong and energetic and has the ability to take wickets. ”

The second test is in Dhakan from December 4 to 8.

First test team: Mominul Haque (Captain), Shadman Islam, Saif Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan, Taijul Islam, Ebadot Hossain, Abu Jayed Rahi, Yasir Ali, Mahmudul Hasan Joy Rejaur Rahman Raja, Shakib Al Hasan
