Italy has reintroduced mandatory masks abroad and Ecuador has mandated the introduction of vaccines for almost everyone to fight coronavirus infections, led by the Omicron variant, just days before the Christmas holidays.

55 people tested positive for COVID on the US cruise ship
Fifty-five people tested positive for COVID-19 on a Royal Caribbean International ship that sailed from the US state of Southeast Florida on Saturday, the company said.
Infections on the ship’s Odyssey of the Seas involved passengers and crew, although 95 percent of the people on board were vaccinated against coronavirus.
The ship will be at sea until it returns to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 26th. It carries 3,587 passengers and 1,599 crew members, according to USA Today.
The President of Montenegro has tested positive for COVID-19
Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic has tested positive for COVID-19 after contacting an infected person.
“The president has mild symptoms and is feeling well. According to epidemiological measures, he will remain isolated from the place where he will perform his duties as a regular president, ”his office said on Thursday.
To date, 161,944 people in Montenegro, with a population of just 620,000, have become ill with coronavirus and 2,385 people have died.
