WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US President Joe Biden said at the start of a virtual meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Monday that they both have a responsibility as leaders not to turn China-US relations into an open conflict.

Xik told Biden at the video conference that the two countries face many challenges and need to increase communication and cooperation.
