Liz Cheney denounced her fellow Republicans on Tuesday night for abandoning the rule of law and weakening American democracy, possibly ousting her from party leadership on the eve of the vote for her criticism of Donald Trump.

Kevin Cramer, a Republican senator from North Dakota, told Capitol Hill reporters that the Trump-era party has managed to attract “working-class Americans.”
“We have this big big tent, and there should be room for everyone. But they’re not all going to be leaders,” he said of Cheney.
Cheney will remain in Congress after Wednesday’s vote, but is expected to face several top-level challengers in 2022.
