For the past decade, we’ve spent Christmas Palm Springs, but this year, Alex’s mom moved east, so we moved to South Carolina. She was so beautiful! I put some pictures Instagram, but I thought I’d share it here too, if you want to see it …

We stayed at Folly Beach, a small coastal town about 20 minutes out of town. Have you ever been (or are you living)? I wondered if we would feel away from the action, but I felt really calm and at ease.

We were lucky our Airbnb, which had a large porch and bedroom fans. Also, I would never have thought of painting a living room black, but it really worked. We can also walk to the main street of shops and cafes, a couple of blocks away.

We spent time with Alex’s mother and sister, who people look like a former SNL comedian Dear Oteri. Do you see it?

One afternoon, there were boys excited rent a golf cart and explore the neighborhood.

“Riding a golf cart while drinking a coke with caffeine? Now this is life, ”said eight-year-old Anton.

You can also hunt shark teeth On the beach! (Our Airbnb host recommended the area around 9th Street West.)

Most of the time we were cooking at home, but one night we went out for dinner Post House Accommodation. How nice is that blue eggshell?

The hotel rooms are upstairs. Staying overnight should make you feel so homely and romantic.

We also spent a lot of time “playing,” as Alex puts it. We used to rest on Airbnb, play Pictionary or play games Would you rather.

One such night, the boys were having trouble arguing, and I sent them to the bedroom to refresh them. A few minutes later, Toby came out with this note, which made me laugh for two days. Always maximum drama! (He often signs notes: “Your dear son, Tobias,” haha).

Thank you, Folly Beach, for a great trip! What did you do on holiday? Do you have any travel hopes / dreams for this coming year? xo

PS Traveling alone, and the weird thing we do on holiday.
