The Canadian Olympic champion has been added to the four-team international women’s tournament to be held in England next February, Canada Soccer said on Tuesday.
The invitation ceremony, which also includes German and Spanish teams, will feature three matches over seven days, in a rotating format.
Canada coach Bev Priestman, whose team is preparing for the CONCACAF women’s championship in July, said the opening of the 2022 season in England will provide invaluable experience ahead of the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Canada will face England on February 17 at Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough, and three days later there will be a match against Germany at Carrow Road in Norwich City and on February 23 with Spain at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton Wanderers.
