Christian striker Christian Pulisic has been named US Soccer Player of the Year.

Ricardo Pepi was named the youngest player of the year in the governing team ahead of the final show of the US national team in 2021 on Saturday night against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Pulisic was the first American to play in the Champions League final and the first to win the Chelsea championship season.

He had six goals and four assists in 40 appearances for the London club, most notably his two-goal match against Crystal Palace in April and his first leg in the Champions League first leg against Real Madrid.

For his national team, Pulisic served four times as captain of the team and also scored three winning goals, including two against the Mexican archduke.

The Pennsylvania man scored a penalty kick in the CONCACAF Nations League final and scored his first touchdown last month after stepping out of the World Cup qualifiers.

Pepi, 18, made his dynamic debut for Honduras in September, scoring one goal and two assists with a 4-1 victory.

He then scored two goals against Jamaica in October, consolidating him as one of the most promising young talents playing in the U.S. system.

The FC Dallas and El Paso striker chose to represent the United States in front of his parents’ native Mexico in August, shortly after being selected for his first MLS All-Star Gaming.

The 23-year-old Pulisic also won the Grand Prix in 2017 and 2019, and won the Young Player Award in 2016. He joins Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan and Kasey Keller as the only man to have won at least three times, and Pulisic is the youngest three-time winner.
