I know that bird’s nest is a product that is sold to older generations, as it is usually found in herbal or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) stores. But as trends change, so do the ways in which more and more companies sell bird-nesting products online. Among them are large retailers Yan Sang dutto smaller online brands such as There was an ether, and Just a swallow.

Being online has opened up these brands to a wider range of customers, and it is called a Malaysian brand in particular. Lamourme it is trying to attract middle-aged young people who lead a busy life.

The siblings behind the brand approach the concept of their boiled bird’s nest as a health drink to promote self-love. And while they’re at it, they’re also modernizing their father’s business by moving its components out of its rigid farm.

In 2016, Syn and Jan’s father set up a swiftlet farm under the business, Golden Swift. His initial plan was to offer a chance to some young business owners who were struggling to get help.

So they formed a partnership and set up a swiftlet farm in Malacca. Deepening his courage, he saw great potential in the health food industry and eventually led to the expansion of wholesale wholesale for local and foreign exports.

Spreading his wings

One of the main products sold at Golden Swift was dried bird nests. For consumption, the bird’s nest should be softened by soaking or boiling in water, where ingredients such as rock sugar and goji berries can be added as sweeteners.

As they are busy in the Interior Design (IAD) and Automotive Services industries, respectively, it took them a long time to prepare Syn and Jani bird nests for their consumption.

Knowing that most people in this era are looking for immediate joy, they thought it would be appropriate to create a product that was readily available.

“Yes, there are a lot of cooked bird nests ready, but every time we consume it doesn’t satisfy us,” Syn said. He explained that there are also those who do not like bird nests because of the light “egg” taste.

With Lamourme, a choice of flavors like yuzu can eliminate that flavor egg while enhancing the flavor. In addition, siblings market their products so that they can relate to a busy and often stressful lifestyle.

“For example, those who find it difficult to sleep because they feel stressed may choose the yuzu flavor, which is good for blood flow, helps reduce stress, tension, and ultimately leads to calm,” the group said.

“In total, we want the bird’s nest to be a ‘take and go’ product, freshly cooked without preservatives, low in sugar and unique in its traditional flavor.”

Luckily, he was very helpful to his father in his business and entrepreneurship in the bird’s nest industry.
