Former ICC CEO Faisal Hasnain has been appointed as the new CEO of PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Commission (PCB) has appointed the new Chief Financial Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Faisal Hasnain, to replace Wasim Khan.

Hasnain will take over in January.

As Chief Financial Officer of the ICC, Faisal participated in the sale of the trading rights of the governing body for the 2007-2015 and 2016-2023 cycles. Faisal also served Zimbabwe Cricket.

“Faisal is a well-known figure in world cricket and is highly regarded, respected and trusted for his excellence in corporate governance, financial management and business capability,” PCB President Ramiz Raja said in a statement.

“With my plans for the PCB, Faisal will be perfect because it can use its extensive experience and knowledge to help us achieve our commercial and financial goals to make Pakistan a bigger and stronger country.”

Hasnain said it would improve the image and popularity of Pakistani cricket.

“I am fully committed to providing the President of the PCB with a view to Pakistan’s cricket, to fulfill the hopes and dreams of millions of passionate Pakistani cricket fans, and to strengthening and developing new relationships with our existing trading partners, ICC and other Cricket Committees.”
