Sydney will host the 2023 Women’s World Cup final at the Australian Stadium on August 20, while the New Zealand host will host the Auckland Eden Park Championships on July 20, according to the FIFA world governing body.
According to FIFA’s schedule, Stadium Australia and Eden Park will play a semi-final, a quarter-final and a quarter-final match. Brisbane’s Lang Park and Wellington Regional Stadium, locally known as ‘Cake Tin’, will host the other quarter-finals.

The Australian host will host 11 of the 16 play-off matches and the women will play all of their matches at home, Football Australia said on Thursday. “We are very pleased with the match schedule from many perspectives,” Australian Football Chief James Johnson said in a statement.
“It has given Australia a bigger division … it has been 35 of the 64 matches played in Australia’s five host cities and includes the Matildas match on the opening day at the new Sydney football ground.”
Eden Park will host the opening ceremony before the first match in New Zealand.
The exact draw and match schedule will follow later, FIFA said.
