Sri Lanka completes test series against West Indies and moves to top of WTC table

Spinners Ramesh Mendis and Lasith Embuldeniya took five wickets to push Sri Lanka’s West Indies to a huge 164-run victory in Friday’s second round and 2-0 series.
After a 297 win, the Antilles went 65-2 on the fifth day of the second inning at lunch, but in the third session they won 132 for the tourists. He lost the last eight wickets for 40 runs.
Embuldeniya had the best 5-35 figures, Mendis 5-66, and collected 11 wickets in the match.

Sri Lanka were still batting on the final day when the game started and it was indicated that it was the second entry in the morning session with 345-9.
Sri Lanka scored 204 in their first inning and the West Indies made 253, taking a 49-run advantage.
Dhananjaya de Silva had 155 without a win and his nightly pair of Embuldeniya 39 was knocked out by Jason Holder.
De Silva faced 262 players and hit two sixes and 11 rebounds in his eighth test of the century.
Veerasammy Permaul’s left arm spin had the best bowling figures of 3-106 while the Roston Chase offspinner took two wickets.

The West Indies lost their first wicket in the second inning with a total of 15 when Captain Kraigg Brathwaite (6) was captured by Mendis lbw.
Nkrumah Bonner then teamed up with Jermaine Blackwood and the pair added 50 runs to the second wicket for Blackwood (36) de Silva before being caught by Embuldeniya before the lunch break before the final ball.
When Mendis caught up with Lakmal Shai Hope (16), the West Indies lead was 92-3, but caused a late fall.
Bonner scored 44 points for the West Indies. Sri Lanka won the first round in the same place with a run of 187.
