Here’s Razer’s new 100 M $ SEA HQ to the north – Wired PR Lifestyle Story
[ad_1]
Razer has officially opened its new A $ 100 million headquarters in Southeast Asia (SEA) in the north in the first week.
The seven-story building has an iconic black façade that draws acidic green lines throughout the building – a tribute to the brand’s immediately recognizable aesthetic.
At night, the building literally shines as the Razer lights up with green LED light strips.
Approximately 19,300 square feet is definitely a great innovative version. the previous two-story Razer office in the Chai Chee industrial estate.
When you turn right …
When you first walk through the glass doors of the building, you’ll be greeted by a giant LED display that shows spectacular graphics, enhancing the futuristic feel of the place.
To the left of the first floor is Singapore’s first RazerStore. It is the only one in Southeast Asia and also the sixth in the world; other stores are in London, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Taipei and San Francisco.
The RazerStore has an open concept where visitors can learn first-hand about Razer’s latest innovations and creations, as well as try out the full range of products.
There are also many for sale, including Sneki Snek stuffed animals, custom Razer mice and Razer clothing.
However, it should be noted that visitors cannot shop at the store. Click and pick up is only one option available, which is that you should make your purchase online first and then you need to go to the store to pick it up.
Meanwhile, on the right-hand side of the first floor is Razer’s first F&B concept, RazerCafe, where you can make your own drinks and serve your own robotic robots.
At RazerCafe, guests can order a drink at the store through the RazerCafe app or order kiosk. There are several drink options available, and you can customize your coffee cup. Coffee beans are extracted from PPP coffee.
When the order is ready, you will receive a notification from the app, which you can then continue collecting from a designated cube.
In line with Razer’s commitment to sustainability, every RazerCafe purchase is carbon-neutral, from seed to cup. All consumables (glasses, napkins, etc.) are made from recycled or recyclable materials; and its straws are also plant-based.
Currently, RazerCafe is open on weekdays from 9am to 6pm, although there are plans to extend the opening hours of the works to 24/7. After all, his bartender should never sleep!
Where the commotion occurs
Although the Razer building has seven floors, Razer only occupies the first four floors; the upper levels are leased to several tenants, including a partner company JustCo.
Razer’s offices in the United States, Germany, and Singapore already have Great Place to Work certification, and with SEA’s new headquarters, Razer is ready to expand its offerings to make it a great place to work.
The second, third, and fourth floors of the building are home to the main workspace (no photos allowed, unfortunately), several meeting rooms, a living room, a phone booth, and plenty of “hot table” areas.
Their walls are equipped with patent certificates obtained over the years, as well as occasional exhibitions of award-winning products.
Interestingly, their meeting rooms are named after Razer products such as Kraken, Black Widow and Kiyo.
All meeting rooms are equipped with Razer chairs, and BANBULUA – The Nurturing Co. brand of durable tissues and antibacterial wipes. BAMBOOLOO received the first investment of Razer’s $ 50 million Green Fund.
Their largest meeting room is Boomslang, which seats more than 20 people. There are also cushioned seats next to the windows, which is apparently the favorite place of General Manager Min-Liang Tan; he prefers to sit next to her instead of taking a seat in the middle of the meeting room.
The room is so large that it has a pantry area so you can comfortably prepare a cup of coffee to stay awake at long meetings, as well as a small room in the back that allows you to take urgent phone calls without leaving. meeting.
However, one might think that when the meeting room is too large the meeting may be less productive (because you have not heard or seen the person at the other end). This is not at all the case with a sleek gadget that Razer automatically magnifies the face of the speaker and splashes on the big screen.
When food comes together for fun
Each floor has a pantry area with plenty of dining, although they all look completely different.
The one on the fourth floor is lit by the iconic Razer green lights, while the one on the third floor has a more comfortable cafe (it also has a football table).
The one on the second floor has arguably the best-looking pantry. It extends to Sky Garden (unfortunately it was raining when we visited the Vulcan Post, so we couldn’t get a good shot out of it), and it has more in-game amenities, such as a storage table and a giant Xbox One gaming machine.
Fun fact: 802C refers to the Razer green color code!
Razer offered free meals to its employees (mostly because the previous office was in a remote industrial area), but with today’s well-stocked pantry, Razer has taken away that advantage.
The good thing is that Razer now offers a handcrafted bread option for its employees for breakfast.
Next to the pantry there is a room to organize esports workshops and training sessions. The walls can also be changed to expand the pantry area so that Razer can double as a space for its company’s municipal sessions.
Want to join Razer?
Do you like what you see so far and expect it to be your future office? The good news is that Razer is now hiring in Singapore.
The gaming company wants to increase the current number of employees from 600 to 1,000 employees. They exist today More than 30 job listings on Razer’s LinkedIn page, with roles including product marketing, development manager, software engineer, data scientist, and social media specialist.
Although most employees are working from home, Razer makes an effort to organize business bonding activities, the most recent of which is a virtual office Halloween party.
Razer often also organizes gaming tournaments for its employees, which reflects the company’s “hard work, hard play” mantra.
