Few decorating projects provide more haste than decorating a holiday home. (There is a reason people do this earlier and earlier since the beginning of the pandemic.) And while you can get immediate joy by decorating a tree or facade, there is something truly magical about the holidays that you want to share. Case in point: holiday table setting.
At the heart of any meeting, a cheerful moment on the table is essential to setting the tone for dinner, but nailing the perfect aesthetic can be challenging. For some guidance, we consulted with the designer Nicole Fisher. Her New York origins began with fashion design (she also toured with the Lady Gaga style) before moving inland and working as the chief designer of One King’s Lane. He is currently the owner and chief designer of his company. BNR Interiors.

Create a color scheme
I like to choose a color and work with different shades. On holiday, I went with silver. It shines by candlelight and is perfectly neutral. Different shapes, textures and shades of silver can be seen across the table with candle holders, glassware and vases.
Decorated with Abandonment
Take the objects, candles, and vases you found and show them at random. It looks more natural. Different heights and textures are key. It is not necessary to sit side by side. It’s best that there’s no formula here, so it’s very easy to repeat! Be aware of odors. Hold on to a scent throughout dinner.
Keep it simple
For a comfortable dinner at home, keep the greens as low as possible. It is important that your guests feel at home and welcome in your beautiful space. Bud vases are perfect for one or two branches. Let the candles and your accessories talk. For added greenery, place a small sprig of rosemary on each table setting.
Jazz Up the Bar
I really enjoy making a statement with the bar! Give the bar the same amount of love you had with the table. Here I like to add a wonderful floral moment, display all the formal glasses of wine and cocktails and set up the grading to make it easy to get everything. Don’t forget to have one of each liquor away so guests can pick and choose their cocktails, and keep the champagne cooled in an ice bucket. Candles add a beautiful atmosphere here.
Break China
The perfect time to get out of this never-before-seen Chinese wedding! Create a decorative charger, a dinner plate, and a salad plate for each table setting. It is polished by a folded dinner cloth in each table setting.
