After being left out of the ICC Men’s T20 Annual Team as a result of a disastrous UAE World Cup campaign, no Indian player appeared on the ODI Group Annual Group, which brings together two players from Little Ireland.

By the way, the team also has no players from Australia, England, New Zealand or the West Indies.

Pakistani captain Babar Azam has two Pakistanis, including Fakhar Zaman.

Janneman Malan and Rassie van der Dussen from South Africa, Shakib Al Hasan from Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman and Mushfiqur Rahim, also named wicketkeepers, Sri Lankadi Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera along with Irishmen Paul Stirling and Simi Singh make up the rest of the team.

India, in 2021, played six ODIs and won four, losing two.

The two series he played over 50 were at home against England, who won 2-1, and the other away was a match against Sri Lanka in the island nation, although he won by the same side.

The problem of not picking an Indian player in the XI has more to do with the lack of a match than the poor performance.

The only Indian player to play all ODI games in 2021 is veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan, who has run 297 runs in six games.

Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma played only three ODIs in 2021 and the same goes for the bowlers, who also did not play six games.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was in five of those six matches with nine wickets.

To get to the team of the year, the Indians must have enough effective performances to get the points they didn’t have.

For example, Ireland’s Stirling had a whopping 705 races in 14 ODIs averaging 79.66 in 2021, which made it an automatic selection.

Proteas ’starting Janneman has run 509 runs in 8 games, averaging nearly 85.

Babar, who has played the least of the 11 players, has 405 runs in two games with two hundred, and Zaman has 369 runs a year.

In the middle order, Rassie van der Dussen averaged 57 runs in 2021 with 342 runs in eight games, and Shakib impressed with 277 runs and 17 wickets.

Mushfiqur Rahim had a race of over 400 with stumping and catching, while Wanindu Hasaranga received 356 runs and 12 wickets.

Two pacers, Mustafizur Rahman and Dushmantha Chameera, had 18 and 20 wickets, respectively, and the off-spinner Simi had 19 scalps on his merits.
