Successful Pakistani batsman Asif Ali was nominated for the ICC Player Award on Thursday with Bangladeshi star Shakib Al Hasan and Namibian David Weise in October.
In the women’s category Laura Delany from Ireland and batsman Gaby Lewis competed alongside Zimbabwe captain and Mary-Anne Musonda.
Asif Ali played a key role in Pakistan’s victories over New Zealand and Afghanistan at the ongoing T20 World Cup.
He took 27 only 12 balls against New Zealand and hit four sixes in his next game against Afghanistan on the 19th.

Shakib Al Hasan, who played six T20Is last month, has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to injury.
He ran 131 with a strike rate of 109.16 and took a total of 11 wickets with an economic rate of 5.59.

Wiese Namibia’s wonderful batsman has had a spectacular T20 World Cup so far. He played eight T20Is, ran 162 with a strike rate of 132.78 and took seven wickets with an economic rate of 7.23.
The performances he won in his matches helped him qualify for the Super 12s phase of the Namibia tournament, where he scored 66 against the Netherlands and 28 against Ireland, he also helped with the ball.
An independent ICC Voting Academy and fans from around the world will now vote to decide the winners, and they will be announced next week.
