The Elimination Chamber comes to the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia on Saturday for the final major event before WrestleMania 38. It’s a stacked card featuring many of the biggest names on the WWE roster and even a few members of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Two Elimination Chamber matches are set for the card. On the men’s side, Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE championship against Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, Riddle and AJ Styles. Six women will share the Chamber earlier in the card when Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Nikki ASH, Doudrop and Alexa Bliss battle for a shot at the Raw women’s championship.

Roman Reigns will also be in action on the card, defending his universal championship against Goldberg. Just as Reigns will defend her title against a Hall of Famer, Becky Lynch will put her Raw women’s title on the line against Lita.

Let’s take a closer look at who our CBS Sports experts predict will come out on top at WWE Elimination Chamber, which begins at noon ET and streams live on Peacock following a kickoff show one hour earlier.

2022 WWE Elimination Chamber predictions

WWE Championship – Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Brock Lesnar Vs. Seth Rollins Vs. Austin Theory Vs. Riddle Vs. AJ Styles (Elimination Chamber)

While I’m hoping and praying for a different outcome, it’s hard to imagine Lesnar is not leaving the Chamber as WWE champion. One of the biggest criticisms of WWE in the modern era is the sense that only a handful of wrestlers on an incredibly deep and talented roster truly matter. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns are in that small group and WWE has gone back to its old standby of Lesnar vs. Reigns as WrestleMania main event. In doing so, they’ve backed themselves into a corner of needing to find a way to make this meeting “bigger than ever.” A title vs. title match gets that job done, even if the rest of the roster suffers for it. I am all for long-term booking and storytelling. Unfortunately, that occasionally leaves surprise and mystery as collateral damage. WWE has made it abundantly clear that a champion vs. champion match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will headline WrestleMania 38. Brock Lesnar will win the title inside the Chamber. Pick: Brock Lesnar wins the title – Shakiel Mahjouri

Universal Championship – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Goldberg

Reigns’ title reign has completely run out of steam aside from getting to the next Lesnar bout. With no compelling challengers left and heading to Saudi Arabia, WWE got up to their old tricks, calling in Goldberg to give him a title shot based on nothing more than him demanding it happen. It’s not interesting, but the Saudi shows tend to get old stars in featured spots and Goldberg had a match left on his contract. There’s really no doubt Reigns will retain here, but who could possibly care? Pick: Roman Reigns retains the title – Brookhouse

Goldberg is a means to an end. His role at the Elimination Chamber is to sell tickets, keep Reigns busy and build the champion’s momentum heading into a big-ticket match against Lesnar. Reigns should win this decisively and focus on his main event program with Lesnar. Pick: Roman Reigns retains the title – Mahjouri

Raw Women’s Championship – Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lita

Sometimes, making a prediction on a match is as simple as looking one show ahead. Lynch is the woman WWE wants in a main event-level match at WrestleMania. Lita getting a match is nice and all, but she’s not going to lead a major program ahead of the biggest event of the year. Lita hasn’t wrestled a singles match since 2006, setting aside a 2012 bout with Heath Slater that went less than two minutes and doesn’t really count as an actual wrestling match. Lynch is a sure thing, Lita in 2022 is a question mark. Pick: Becky Lynch retains the title – Brookhouse (also Mahjouri)

Liv Morgan Vs. Rhea Ripley Vs. Bianca Belair Vs. Doudrop Vs. Nikki ASH Vs. Alexa Bliss (Elimination Chamber)

It would be nice to think WWE was planning this far ahead when they had Lynch beat Belair in seconds to win the title at SummerSlam, knowing they’d have Belair win in the Elimination Chamber and gain her revenge on the big stage. I doubt there was much planning put into it all. Instead, it’s a happy coincidence that Belair has a clear path to a rematch at WrestleMania, where she’s proven herself capable of handling the biggest stage possible. Ripley, Doudrop, Nikki ASH and Morgan are all spent as challengers to Lynch, which leaves it down to Bliss and Belair, and Belair is the better choice. Pick: Bianca Belair wins – Brookhouse (also Mahjouri)

Ronda Rousey & Naomi Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville

Both parties could use a win at the Elimination Chamber. Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville benefit from having a leg up over the heroes heading into WrestleMania. Naomi needs a victory sooner or later after being undermined by Deville at every turn, and Rousey only just returned from a three-year layoff. WWE has rolled out the red carpet for Rousey thus far and I don’t expect her to lose her first singles or tag team match since 2019. Should the villains emerge victorious, Naomi will almost certainly eat the pinfall. But I predict Rousey to have her hand raised once again. Pick: Ronda Rousey and Naomi win – Mahjouri (also Brookhouse)

SmackDown Tag Team Championship – The Usos (c) vs. The Viking Raiders

The Viking Raiders might as well still be thawing. They are ice-cold title challengers with zero momentum since winning a tag-team gauntlet to earn their contender status. They’ve been winning plenty of six-man dark tag matches against The Usos, but those aren’t televised and don’t really count. On camera, they’ve been beaten in the ring, backstage and on the microphone week over week by The Usos. Jimmy and Jey have this one in the bag. Pick: The Usos retain the titles – Mahjouri (also Brookhouse)

Drew McIntyre Vs. Madcap Moss (Falls Count Anywhere)

McIntyre Vs. Moss at a second-straight pay-per-view is entirely unnecessary. McIntyre is treading water waiting for a major program down the road and this is little more than stay-busy work for him. Adding the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation certainly spices it up as Happy Corbin can interfere without issue. Still, is there anyone who believes Moss is getting a win here? Pick: Drew McIntyre wins – Brookhouse (also Mahjouri)

Rey Mysterio Vs. The Miz

A low-stakes match-up that can really go either way. The Miz is coming off repeated losses to Edge and needs some revitalization. The fans will always be there for Mysterio whenever he steps in the ring. The heel needs to get strengthened up ahead of WrestleMania, so Miz should get the win in this one. Pick: The Miz wins – Brookhouse

Between Mysterio’s role as the cover star for WWE’s upcoming WWE 2K22, and the appetite to have popular names loaded on the WrestleMania 38 card, expect Mysterio to get the nod over The Miz to build some momentum on the Road to WrestleMania. Pick: Rey Msyterio wins – Mahjouri
