Indigo Partners has ordered 255 Airbus A321 aircraft from Reuters

DUBAI (Reuters) – Bill Franke, an investor in low-cost airlines, ordered a $ 1 billion order from Airbus SE (OTC 🙂 on Sunday for 255 single-passenger A321 passenger planes.

The order includes 102 aircraft for European Wizz Air and 91 for US-based Frontier Airlines, and 39 and 23 for Volaris and JetSMART, respectively, Airbus said in a note on Sunday.

Frontier Airlines said on Sunday that the new aircraft is scheduled to be delivered between 2023 and 2029, a separate note showed.

Airbus signed an agreement with Wizz Air, Frontier Airlines, JetSMART and Volaris at Dubai Airshow, in accordance with an agreement with Franke’s private equity firm Indigo Partners.
