Intel apologizes for telling suppliers to avoid working in Xinjiang Technology

The U.S. chip maker has apologized to Chinese customers for being blacklisted in the region for alleged abuses against Uyghurs.

U.S. chip maker Intel (INTC.O) apologized Thursday to Chinese customers, partners and citizens for not accepting products or crafts from their suppliers in the Xinjiang region.

The Chinese statement was released on Intel’s official WeChat account.
