Canelo Alvarez Vs. Caleb Plant: Fight card, odds, results, PPV price, start time, date, full guide

One of the biggest nights in the boxing calendar has finally arrived. With less than a month to go before the exciting heavyweight title between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, the big boxer has returned to Las Vegas to crown the first four-belt champion of the 168-pound modern era. Canelo Alvarez will put his trio at stake when they face Caleb Plant IBF graduate at the main event of the Showtime Boxing PPV event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Alvarez, who won three of the four recognized titles in the 160-pound class, faces even greater challenges if he succeeds on Saturday night. The Mexican superstar plans to lift to light weight to challenge Artur Beterbiev or Dmitry Bivol for the 175-pound belts. But first, he must pass the final test in 168 after winning by Callum Smith, Avni Yilidirim and Billy Joe Saunders, all within 12 months. Plant, meanwhile, won the IBF belt in 2018 by beating Jose Uzcategui and has defended three times.

While all the focus will be on the main event (and rightly so), there are still three other ticket measurements inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena. In the co-main event Elvis Rodriguez will return to welterweight against Juan Pablo Romero. In addition, Rey Vargas has returned without action for more than two years to take on Leonardo Baez’s featherweight. Vargas is undefeated with a 34-0 result, but in July 2019 he broke his leg after his last fight and was left without functioning. Finally, things open up at the super-middleweight level when former champion Anthony Dirrell returns against Marcos Hernandez.
