Jhye Richardson will replace injured Josh Hazlewood, but starting player David Warner has been allowed to play against England in the second Ashes Test of the night, Australian captain Pat Cummins said on Wednesday.
Hazlewood was left out of Adelaide when Australia won nine wickets after suffering from side tension in the first round of the Gabbba.
Two-Test Richardson beat rhythmless veteran Michael Neser in the Australian attack with spinners Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon.
Richardson, who creates a great pace from the 1.78m box office, has rejoined the team almost three years after his spectacular first series against Sri Lanka in 2019.

The 25-year-old’s international career took a step back when he dislocated his shoulder against a one-day Pakistani team shortly after making his debut in the test.
But he was back in top form this season at Sheffield Shield to earn a place in the Ashes team.
“He played two good tests and was on the verge of a series of Ashes and a World Cup before his shoulder injury,” Cummins told Adelaide Oval reporters on the eve of the test.
“He’s done a great job, he’s got a great start this year in WA (Western Australia) and we think he’s shooting.”
The left-handed Warner suffered a rib injury in Brisbane in the 94th minute after receiving a few body blows and discomfort appeared in a clean session on Tuesday.

However, Cummins said he would grind the 35-year-old with the help of an injection to relieve the pain, if necessary.
“Knowing Davey won’t lose this. He’ll be fine when he throws the adrenaline rush. It’s not like a broken bone that’s going to get worse,” Cummins said.
Gabban, who dominated in the 11th minute, had no other changes to give Australia a 1-0 lead in the five Test series.
Australia holds the ballot box after staying in England in 2019, where they tied the series 2-2 against Joe Root’s team.
