Rogan apologized after a video of the montage was shown showing him saying the N-word over and over again.

Joe Rogan, a well-known US podcaster, has apologized for the second time in a week, this time for using racial violence, after a montage video was shown showing him repeatedly saying the N-word.

In an apology video posted on Instagram on Saturday, Rogan said it was “the most regrettable and embarrassing thing I’ve ever had to speak publicly.”

Throughout the video, Rogan said that the images taken using the epithet were taken out of context, but he found it “awful, me too.”

Rogan’s apology came after Grammy-winning singer-songwriter India Arie pulled out of her music on the Spotify streaming service that hosts Rogan’s podcast, posting her clips using N-word on her Instagram feed.

In his apology, Rogan said the montage showed the use of the epithet in session interviews over the past 12 years, and examples of how black-and-white comedians and others used it to discuss how to use it. He said he hadn’t spoken in years.

“It’s not about using my word. I know that right now, but for years I used it that way, ”he said. “I’ve never used to be racist because I’m not racist.”

The media reported on Saturday that more than 70 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast had been removed from Spotify Technology SA.

Spotify did not return any comment requests.

On Monday, Rogan apologized for his anti-disinformation reaction to his COVID-19 program, and Spotify said it would add content advice to any episode that discusses the virus.

Rogan, a martial arts commentator and a prominent vaccine skeptic, has done just that spark controversy with opinions on pandemics and the spread of the virus with vaccines and government orders.

Singer-songwriters Neil Young and Joni Mitchell announced this last week removing their music from Spotify as a protest against the disinformation of the coronavirus broadcast on the platform.
