Pakistani selectors rested a number of senior players on Thursday, including former captains Shoaib Malik and Sarfaraz Ahmed, due to a limited home series against the Antilles to be played there this month.
In addition to Malik and Sarfara, fast bowling Hasan Ali and spinning Imad Wasim will also not be part of the Twenty20 and one-day international teams.
Head coach Mohammad Wasim said the players needed to rest.

“We have been playing T20Is since October and now we have a fairly well-established and balanced side, so we have decided to rest Imad, Sarfaraz and Malik,” Wasim said in a note to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Quick pelota player Mohammad Hasnain has returned to the team after losing the Bangladesh Twenty20 World Cup and series.
The West Indies will play three Twenty20 internationals (December 13, 14 and 16) and then another day international (December 18, 20 and 22) Karachin.
