Polish FA leaders demand FIFA to act after allegations of “false” racism

Poland will call on FIFA to take action against people who allege racist allegations against defender Kamil Glik after a major clash in the match against England, the head of the country’s football association said on Friday.
Poland had earlier said its players had not been racially abused by England defender Kyle Walker in a clash in the 1-1 World Cup qualifier draw in Warsaw in September.
“I decided that the Polish Football Association would ask FIFA to punish those who accused Kamil Glik of racist behavior without reason in the match against England,” Cezary Kulesza wrote on Twitter.
“I was convinced from the beginning that these allegations were completely false, so we will officially intervene.”

Kulesza did not specify in the tweet who the complaints would be addressed to.
FIFA, the world governing body, said in September that it was investigating the row.
Television footage showed Glik Walker squeezing his neck but it was not clear whether that alone caused the altercation. Glik and Harry Maguire of England were booked after the incident.
England coach Gareth Southgate did not make a direct allegation of racism in a press conference after the match.
The Football Association of England did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
