  • The LCX exchange has lost $ 6.8 million in one of its hot purses for hackers.
  • PeckShield, a blockchain security company, identified the hack.
  • ETH, USDC, LINK, MKR, ENJ, SAND and QNT were put at risk.

The LCX exchange has lost a whopping $ 6.8 million in one of its hot purses in the face of hackers. Along with the news, the company has officially confirmed the event after the suspension of deposits and withdrawals.

According to the report, a blockchain security firm first identified PeckShield in a suspicious ERC-20 token transfer from an LCX exchange to an anonymous ETH wallet.

In addition, following the PeckShield report, the LCX exchange reported that more than eight types of tokens were at risk, including ETH, USDC, LINK, MKR, ENJ, SAND and QNT.

Meanwhile, LCX has yet to come up with a possible solution to help return the stolen funds. The exchange only mentioned its security measures to secure other portfolios and assets.

In this difficult time, we are very grateful for the support of our customers, other exchanges, security experts, and the wider crypto community.

Coincidentally, the LCX exchange rate came at a time when Bitcoin (BTC) prices were showing a sharp downward trend. However, in addition to the current decline in BTC, the entire crypto market is also showing red symptoms, indicating a bear market.

Apparently, this time the crypto market rally seems to be going wrong in the imagination of traders. At the time of writing, the crypto market reflects a mix of reds and greens. But the market is dominated by red flags, compared to being bullish.

In fact, this week seems like a pretty bad time, especially for the flagship currency and the crypto market.
