On Sunday, Ranjan Madugalle was the judge of the first match that ruled in 200 Test matches.

Madugalle, a former Sri Lankan cricketer, reached the milestone in the first test between Gallen Sri Lanka and the West Indies. In 1993 he was first appointed referee of the International Cricket Council (ICC) match. Common to all major ICC tournaments, he has served as the referee for the ICC match at the four ICC men’s World Cups (1999, 2003, 2015 and 2019), with three ICC champions. Trophies (2004, 2006 and 2013) and four ICC men’s T20 World Cups (2007, 2010, 2016 and 2021).
