That last win came against Ben Askren, a UFC veteran who is friends with Woodley. Askren was never known as a striker, and many called on Paul to face a really threatened opponent.
Woodley is just that, a successful fighter who has been successful on the big stages before. He was also known for his tremendous power in the Octagon, though he tended to be passive in an offensive way, often trying to wait for the chance to get a perfect punch.
