Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan who was not part of the show on WWE Raw on Monday night

On Monday night on WWE Raw, Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan who jumped the barricades that separated fans at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Rollins was apparently uninjured in the attack, following a segment that Rollins attacked before a game planned by Finn Balor.

Part of the attack was televised before the WWE production cut short the incident, although videos shot by fans show the attacker blinding Rollins before the pair briefly collided on the ground. Security was able to break the situation as an angry Rollins shouted at his attacker.

WWE released a statement about the situation, saying it intended to see the attacker convicted of assault for assault.

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously,” WWE wrote in the statement. “The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been handed over to the NYPD and will be tried to the extent of the law.”

The New York Police Department has confirmed this ESPN’s Marc Raimondiri, a 24-year-old fan, was arrested.

Rollins returned for the final segment of the show, including work comments for the main event between WWE Big E champion and Austin Theory. Rollins took the final move to Big E’s “Big Ending” to close out the show.
