English cricket coach Chris Silverwood will be out for the fourth Ashes Test against Australia after seven confirmed cases of COVID-19 appearances in the England team’s camp.
Silverwood needs to be isolated from a family member at a tour party after a positive coronavirus test. Silverwood did not have the virus. He will have to be isolated for 10 days with his family in Melbourne, where the third test was played. The fourth test will start in Sydney on January 5th.
England lost the third Test, along with the series, as Australia took a 3-0 win over Ashes in five games.

England said a positive test of what he called a “family member” took place on Wednesday. More rounds of PCR testing will be held on Thursday.
The English tour team has recorded seven positive cases – three support staff and four family members – since the introduction of the PCR test regime on Monday. Players must travel to Sydney on Friday before the fourth round.
Cricket Australia is confident that the Sydney test can move forward as planned, despite the increase in the number of cases in the city and the outbreak in the English camp. The two groups will travel to Sydney on Friday morning and have booked an entire hotel complex in the city’s eastern suburbs to reduce the risk of catching the virus.
The Fifth Test is scheduled for Adelaide in mid-January.
