Jeremy Solozano was taken to the West Indies debut hospital on Sunday after being hit in the field by a helmet, here on the first day of the first test against Sri Lanka.

Solozano was near the short leg when Sri Lankan batsman Dimuth Karunaratne attempted a bloody shot from the ball of Roston Chase and the ball struck a hard blow on the pitch’s helmet grille. The medical staff treated him on the ground before taking him to the stretcher, waiting for him in an ambulance, which took him to the hospital.
Sri Lanka beat Karunaratne 32 in the 61 0 meal and Pathum Nissanka 25 in the bat.
