Australian Hricley Cricket CEO Nick Hockley has sided with Tim Paine to return to the country’s Test team, saying he wants to see the former skipper “play and do” for Australia.
Paine took an indefinite break from mental health in the game after leaving Test as captain, ahead of Ashes, as a result of a “sexting” scandal, which in 2017 sent inappropriate texts to a female colleague.
“I’d love to see him play again, both because of his situation and because of Australia,” said Hockley. ITS.

Hockley said Paine’s call was for him to step down as captain and that “it was a decision the council deemed appropriate” and that he was trying to help him.
“The head coach has come down to see him, we’ve brought down members of our high-performance teams to Tassiera. The Tasmanian cricket community has wrapped its arms around him,” said Hockley, who has been named interim chief executive. Before it became definitive in 2020, a year later.
