Italy will now face Spain at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday to advance to the Euro 2020 final.
Italy reached the 2020 Euro Cup finals on Friday with a 2-1 win over Belgium as Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Insigne set up a wonderful first-half goal against the top-ranked team in the world.
Barella opened the scoring in the 31st minute with Insigne’s wonderful run that doubled his advantage on the eve of the break as Romelu Lukaku threw one back to Belgium in the first half stoppage time.
Both sides had chances to score after the break without taking a breather, but Roberto Mancini’s team held on for 13 consecutive wins to extend the unbeaten record to 32 games.
They will face Spain at the final at Wembley on Tuesday after Luis Enrique’s side beat Switzerland 3-1 in a penalty shootout. opponents equalized 1-1 in the fight although it dropped to 10 males after extension.

Italy looked to end up in the top half when Insigne’s excellent curl doubled the lead, but Belgium reduced the deficit three minutes later when Giovanni Di Lorenzo entered the Jeremy Doku area and Lukaku converted a penalty.
Leonardo Spinazzola made an excellent goal line to deny Lukakuri the equalizer after the goalkeeper, but the spectacular night on the Italian left wing ended in tears when he was taken to a stretcher with a muscle problem.
The lively duck had trouble the Azzurri defense all night and threatened with a late equalizer when he fired from the wing, but the centimeter flew.
Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was disappointed but gave credit to the Italians.
“This is playing hard, but we knew it was going to be a tough game. We had two chances, but his goalkeeper made a good shot and I think we scored the first goal too easily,” he said.
“He could really go one way or the other, but Italy deserved to win here.”
Spain beat Italy 4-0 in the 2012 final but Italy got some revenge: 2-0 in the quarter-finals in 2016 with a tactical masterclass of 2016.
Mancini’s men have hoped for the same thing this time around as they seemed to be back on track, as they achieved a tremendously better performance in line with the tight end of last season’s 16 win over Austria and the victories in the three-team phase.
“We were deserving winners. The boys were very good and we could score more goals, ”Mancini said.
“We didn’t have a minimum goal for the tournament, we wanted to achieve as much as possible. There are two other games: we’ll see what happens. “
