Former captain Ramnaresh Sarwan has been appointed as a jury selector for the senior and junior men of the West Indies until 2024.
Sarwan’s appointment was confirmed at a Cricket West Indies (CWI) board meeting on Thursday. He will be a member of both boards until June 2024.
Former senior batsman joins the great Desmond Haynes, Newly appointed senior male inductor of the West Indies, and senior coach Phil Simmons on the senior panel and former leg spinner Robert Haynes on the youth selection panel.

During his two-and-a-half-year tenure, Sarwan will select teams for the ICC for four major events: two T20 World Cups (2022 and 2024), ODI World Cup in 2023 and World Test Championship final in 2023.
Sarwan, who played in 87 tests and 181 one-day internationals between 2000 and 2013, will step down as chairman of the Guyana Cricket Board’s selection board to focus on his new job and avoid conflicts of interest.
