President Joe Biden met with Queen Elizabeth II in England on Friday – the first time he has met the British ruler as commander-in-chief.
The President, accompanied by Jill Biden’s first lady, was photographed talking to the Queen at a ceremony for heads of state who attended the G7 summit in Cornwall.
The photos showed the Queen – wearing pearls, white gloves and a floral dress – smiling warmly at the first lady outside a giant dome as she spoke at an eco park known as the Eden Project, where the leaders gathered for an evening reception.
He is the 13th President of the United States to meet with Queen Biden, and his reign began in 1953.

The 95-year-old monarch has met with all U.S. leaders during his time on the throne, except Lyndon Johnson.
Her first meeting as Queen was with Dwight Eisenhower in 1957, the same year that Herbert Hoover left the White House and met her more than two decades earlier. In 1951, while still a princess, she also met Harry Truman.
Biden had previously met the queen in 1982 when she was a U.S. senator.

Friday’s meeting comes two months after the queen lost her husband. Prince Philip, who died on the 9th of April At 99 years old.
Prince Charles was also present at the G7 ceremony of the British royal family; Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Prince William, Duke of Cambridge; and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
In the photos, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson could be seen chatting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau while talking to Prince Charles.

Friday was the first full day of talks at the summit. Johnson told attendees that it was an opportunity to “raise the bar” in our societies and “build better”. coronavirus pandemic.
He also said leaders need to address issues of economic inequality and climate change.
“I really think we have a tremendous opportunity to do that, as the G7, because we are united in our vision to provide a solution to the problems of climate change in order to have a cleaner and greener world,” he added.
Before the reception in the afternoon, the Queen met with Biden and other world leaders to take a group photo, where she laughed, asking, “Will you be as if you were happy?”
“Yes,” Johnson replied. “We’ve been enjoying it despite the look.”
Bidens will have to visit Windsor Castle on Sunday to be a special private spectator with Queen.
