One of the most destructive drillers in the game will return to the ring on Saturday night when Gervonta “Tank” Davis takes on Mario Barrios in the main event of the Atlanta State Farm Arena’s paid Showtime ticket event.

Davis has become a rising star in boxing, largely because of his touching strength that comes from both hands, which has led him to claim belts in super featherweight and lightweight belts. Now, Davis wants to jump 140 pounds against Barrios, who has a low-weight welterweight title on the line.

At Morning Kombat, Brian Campbell and Luke Thomas looked back on Davis ’winless career – he has won 24 races in 24 career victories – to pick the best playoffs for the young star’s escape.

On the list is Davis ’Leo Santa Cruz’s 2020 playoffs.

While Davis and Santa Cruz were getting their toes in a fierce fight, Davis was looking for the top left cut, one of his perforated marks. Davis returned to the corner of Santa Cruz on Day 6 to try to get Santa Cruz on his way but eventually left himself open for Davis ’top cut, knocking the unconscious Santa Cruz against the canvas and crashing under the bottom rope.
