For buyers of things anywhere, the last 19 months have been, well, rough. With delivery delays (underestimation), cargo ships get stuck Suez Canal (Does anyone else think this was a metaphor for the main mood of the last two years?), And the sound of endless alarms to start your holiday shopping early (at least let’s enjoy our Thank you, please), this shopping season will already be a little different than in previous years. What hasn’t changed? A constant search for last-minute gifts, with no screams, “I’ve gone through this on Amazon.”
And while we want to think this it will be the year we get to ask for all our gifts a week before the holiday really arrives, we are ready to accept that, probably that will not be the case. So let’s raise a glass to accept the inevitable, and knowing that they were bought at the eleventh hour doesn’t mean your gifts may not be thoughtful, special, and that your gifts are what they want. It is the thought that counts!
