The Australian leader ruled out the Sydney Ashes test with COVID-19

Australian batsman Travis Head will miss his fourth test against England next week in Sydney after testing positive for COVID-19, Cricket Australia said.

The head would remain in Melbourne and be isolated for seven days until it became available for the next test, which begins on January 5th.

“As part of our testing procedures, we are players who perform PCR tests, their families and our support staff on a daily basis,” a CA spokesperson said.

“Unfortunately, Travis gave a positive COVID-19 result this morning. Fortunately, he is asymptomatic at this stage.
