The Dassault group says it has no plans to sell the newspaper Le Figaro

PARIS (Reuters) – Dassault denies plans to sell Le Figaro newspaper on Saturday after French media website Mediapart reported that French tycoon Vincent Bollore had begun negotiations to gain control of the publication.
“It’s completely brainwashing. There’s never been a split in the group’s plans with Le Figaro,” team representative Rudi Roussilon told Dassault when asked about Reuters’ Mediapart report.
A Bollor spokesman declined to comment.
The Dassault group controls Dassault Aviation, a manufacturer of Rafale warplanes, as well as Le Figaro.
Bollore controls the media group Vivendi (OTC :), a major shareholder in Lagardere, which also has assets such as Paris Match magazine, Europe 1 radio and the Journal du Dimanche newspaper.
In September, Vivendi, which already owns 27% of Lagardere, said it had agreed to buy a 17.9% stake in Amber Capital, paving the way for a full-fledged acquisition.
