Nine Memphis Grizzlies players have doubled their numbers by winning 152-79 basketball against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Memphis Grizzlies broke the National Basketball Association (NBA) record for victory, beating the unfortunate Oklahoma City Thunder 152-79.

Thursday’s 73-point victory easily surpassed the previous mark, which was broken by The Cleveland Cavaliers ’68 points in the Miami Heat, 148-80, on December 17, 1991.

Memphis – without the best player, Ja Morant injured all the stars – used 12 players and nine of them reached double points in scoring, with Jaren Jackson Jr.’s 27 points leading the way.

With the score at 72-36 at the break, the Grizzlies continued to add to the lead with 78 points in the end. It was the biggest advantage of any NBA game since 1996-97.

The Grizzlies set a franchise record on shots, scoring 62.5 percent on the field. It was also 52.8 percent of the three points. Reserve De’Anthony Melton added 19 points, Santi Aldama 18 and John Konchar added 17 for the Grizzlies.

“Man, it feels great,” Melton said after the game. “It feels great to be in the history books, especially in front of the people in our home.

“We did it from one to the 15th. Everyone helped.”

Taylor Jenkins, the Memphis coach, said:

“Every night we are motivated by our standards. Tonight was a pretty good show on offense and defense. “

The small Thunder now has records of the biggest road loss and the biggest home loss in league history. In May, they beat the Indiana Pacers by 57 points at home.

“Tonight isn’t what we’re all about,” Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said. “It simply came to our notice then. This is not about who our team is. ”
