(Reuters) – The NBA announced on Sunday that it had postponed the next two games of the Brooklyn Nets and three other team games due to the large number of players and staff involved in the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers will also re-schedule games due to a flurry of recent new cases. In total, they have postponed nine NBA games since last week.

The Nets, the leader of the Eastern Conference, has suffered particularly hard from nine players with stars Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, unable to adjust due to protocol.
