Singapore food technology company CRUST Group yesterday (November 1) announced a new round of strategic investors and collaborations that will allow it to expand its presence in the Japanese market.
The company has received investments from Leave A Nest Singapore, Glocalink Singapore, Ales Global and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Venture Capital (MSIVC), a corporate venture of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance of MS & AD Insurance Group.
CRUST Group will work with its partners to develop new products that are recycled in Japan with the goal of creating more partnerships with food service and retail companies.

Recycle surplus ingredients
With increasing resource scarcity and limited agricultural expansion, in countries with land scarcity such as Singapore and Japan, food waste and loss is very important on the food security agenda of many countries.
