Shamarh Brooks went to 93 because the Antilles beat Ireland in their first ODI

Shamarh Brooks, making his ODI debut at the age of 33, won his first game with 93, as the West Indies defeated Ireland 24 points on Saturday in the first match of three games at Sabina Park.

The West Indies made 269 after putting it in one, before Ireland fell from 165 to 165 to 245 in response.

Brooks, who developed as an international cricketer when the Barbadian batsman was already 29 years old, made his debut in the test, hitting nine yards and three sixs during his 89-ball stint. Captain Kieron Pollard broke 69 with four yards and four sixs with Brooks in the 155th wicket of the fifth wicket.

Three of the six of them came out of 37 consecutive balls from the balls thrown by Andy McBrin as the pair saved their team from a worrying 62 and 4.
