The loss of 35-year-old Wilder has not slowed his confidence, however, after he was sidelined for the first time in the rematch when assistant coach Mark Breland threw in a towel to save Wilder from a one-sided beating.

Unlike his reign of title, which often came against small rivals who were not as skilled as Fury, Wilder often relied on waiting until his opponent was tired, making a decisive mistake to open the corners to end his great power fight.
