WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Tuesday she would run for a 19th term and said she could also continue to run her caucus after saying she would step down after 2022.

She was the first woman to serve as a speaker for the 81-year-old California lawmaker and was expected to step down, mainly because her party expected to lose a majority in the Nov. 8 election.
