Jenks will remain in Boeing’s commercial aircraft unit in early 2022, Stan Deal, the chief executive of commercial aircraft, told staff in a note seen by Reuters.

Jenks was named head of the 737 program in 2019, after two 737 MAX deaths in five months in March of that year.

It was then launched in 2020 to oversee the commercial production of the US aircraft manufacturer.

Lund has been a senior executive at Boeing’s 777 / 777X, 747 and 767 wide-body programs, and has led the development of commercial aircraft division products.

Lund will continue to oversee the manufacturer’s supply chain as an executive until a successor is appointed to the position, Deal said.
