The disciplinary trial against South African coach Mark Boucher has been postponed to May, the president of the hearing announced on Tuesday.
Boucher faces allegations of racismEstablished by Cricket South Africa, which could result in dismissal.
Attorney Terry Motau said in a statement that he decided to hold the trial from May 16 to 20 after considering the arguments presented by Boucher’s legal team, which wants to call on the current South African player to testify in his defense. Motau said the CSA wanted the hearings to take place from March 7 to 11 – after a tour of South Africa in New Zealand, but before a tour of Bangladesh, which will begin on March 18.
“On behalf of Mr. Boucher, it was stated that he intends to call on some players to testify on his behalf,” Motau said, arguing that holding hearings between the two could be suspended.

The allegations against Boucher announced last month came after hearings last year about cricket discrimination.
Former bandmate Paul Adams has accused Boucher of driving a song with derogatory racist wording at fine meetings while they were playing.
The CSA announced that the investigation would also take into account the concerns and allegations raised after the resignation of former assistant coach Enoch Nkwe. He also alleged that Boucher did not deal effectively with the controversy over the “knee-grabbing” of his solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
After the allegations against Boucher were reported, South African media reported that the former Test wicketkeeper would be funded by a group of wealthy South African businessmen who were allegedly “outraged” by the accusations against the coach.
